Message: We will definitely go back to this place for service. We were having car trouble during a shopping trip to DL and Googled mechanics near us. The closest place said they didn't have time to help us. Pit Stop was the next closest place. The owner took time out of his busy day to check our alternator and battery on our van. He was honest and trustworthy. We were so grateful for his service. We give him 5 stars!

Message: Very kind gentleman gave us advice over the phone when we were driving through Detroit Lakes and our power steering went out. When that didn’t work, he took time out of a busy day to pop the power steering belt back on. We’ll make it home to Fargo now, where our local guy can do full repairs. INCREDIBLE customer service!

Message: I have an older car that wasn't starting during the cold snaps we've been having, so I replaced the battery. A day after replacing the old battery, the check engine light came on and the car was having some issues starting again. I had the check engine light looked up at an auto parts store, and they said it was a faulty pedal sensor. I was planning on taking my car to the cities over the weekend and was calling around to see if anyone could make the repair same day. I think I called just about every shop in town! When I called Pit Stop the guy on the phone stated that they were busy and he wouldn't be able to get me in today. However, when I described what was going on he told me that it probably wasn't the pedal sensor and that my car was just getting used to the new battery. I knew that could happen, but didn't realize it could trigger a false check engine light. He recommended not doing any unnecessary repairs and waiting a few days to see if the problem resolved itself. Sure enough, two days later the check engine light turned off on it's own and the car is starting just fine! I appreciate Pit Stop's honesty and advice rather than making an appointment for an unnecessary repair just to get more money. Would definitely recommend!
